The streets of New Orleans were more picturesque before Katrina.

Shelly:
Those murals are rather disturbing, aren't they? And Anubis? What's up with that?

Helena:
I don't know: any statue that kills its creator certainly has a creep factor to me! :-) And it's rather skeletal close-up --- and those glowing eyes! And what's up with that statue of Anubis? In between those eerie murals are Aztec skull motifs. There are
miles of tunnels under DIA as well as that radar-proof roof. It all strikes me as rather bizarre is all.

The airport dedication stone says it’s covering a time capsule for the people of Colorado, it also says the airport was paid for by the New World Airport Commission. The New World Airport Commission does not exist. Cue the spooky music. :-)
Roland D. I mean, I live here in Denver, and the horse basically is supposed to represent a mustang (spirit of the West) and indirectly the Broncos. But basically we locals just think of it as really bad art.

On the bright side, DIA is powered largely by solar energy and is the most sustainable major airport in the country. On the down side, I've never seen those murals and I can't account for them or their taste.Helenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14967821142796562697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8681132888977525688.post-48992379511442999472015-04-26T21:14:18.346-05:002015-04-26T21:14:18.346-05:00Hi, Roland!
