GYPSY DIED IN MY ARMS THIS MORNING

    Oh, I'm so sorry for the loss of your kitty. UGH, my heart aches for you becuase I've lost pets and it truly is devastating...these little creatures are so much a part of our lives. My heart is sad for you and lifting you up in prayers and thoughts.

    So sorry, bro. I'll have a drink tonight to lost pets and think of you and Gypsy. I read your later post first and was wondering if I missed something. I see now that I did miss something.

    We lost our Golden in 2009 to cancer, held her as she died at the vet. I even thought the vet might cry.

    The kids and I still pray every night: And God, please throw the ball for Lexi, in a lake because she likes to swim. Amen.

    I doubt they'll pray that long for me when I'm gone!

    Roland I am so sorry for your loss. It's such a huge loss, a constant companion...one who never judges, one who is there to love and comfort you. Last May when I went through the same moment you went through I spent a couple weeks not functioning...I found a lot of cat bloggers and they helped me through my grief. I still miss Stripes everyday. I, like you, don't think there will ever be another cat for me. I don't think I can go through that love and hurt again. My thoughts and prayers are with you.     Thank you. You're right I believe. A part of her spirit still lives in my apartment. I "heard" her last night as I was writing emails thump from my bed to the floor.

    Instinctively, I looked but no Gypsy -- except in my heart and head -- and perhaps as a spirit keeping watch.
