I don't know if it's always been like that or not, but I don't think Christmas started before Halloween back in the day. It certainly didn't in my life. Which so much buildup to each holiday, Christmas more than others, it's hard not to feel underwhelmed or let down after the holidays. It always feels a bit anti-climactic to me.
