Shell Flower: Somehow the duck always manages to swim another day! I keep him in my TV room to remind me that even the smallest things can survive the large storms if they can but manage to float -- he survived for weeks alone in the chaos surrounding Katrina and Rita. I found him wedged in the corner of the back of the center's door. I honored his survival by cleaning him up and giving him refuge in my apartment. :-)
Hilary: The duck qwacks his thanks to you. Victor, of course, just smiles -- he is a small survivor, too.
Suzanne: Survivor Duck thinks you're cute, too. He appreciates the placard!
Jeremy: LOL. The duck says he will remember that one! :-)
Too funny! I love your post on GWTW, but I had to post here in solidarity with the Duck.
Actually, I think GWTW is still misunderstood. Scarlett isn't the heroine. She's the villain. She doesn't change and doesn't repent. Rhett does. He's the real hero.
Don't shoot! I'll comment.
ReplyDeletePut down that gun immediately or I'll call PETA!!! :)
ReplyDeletePut the gun down and lets talk about this! The rubber duck doesn't have to get hurt!
ReplyDeleteNoooooo!!! Don't do it! I think flushing him down the toilet would be much more fun. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a frame job, Roland. Let the little ducky go. It's Disco Duck you want.
ReplyDeleteAlex:
ReplyDeleteSurvivor Duck thanks you!
Wendy:
LOL!
Kellie:
That's what Survivor Duck says!
Nicki:
Survivor Duck survived all on his own all through Katrina and Rita -- he laughs at toilets! :-)
D.G.:
Survivor Duck agrees with you. He quacks a "Thank You" your way.
All right ... Survivor Duck has squeaked through another encounter with the Boom Stick! He lives to quack another day! :-)
I'm so relieved. The duck swims another day!
ReplyDeleteHi Victor .. I was paddling against the aftermath of prevailing winds and the A-Z ..
ReplyDeletePlease keep Duck - he looks extra special ... cheers Hilary
I've made a placard - Don't shoot the duck, he's way too cute!
ReplyDeletei will bring the hot sauce... wait i mean terrible... terrible.

Hahaha well I don't know what this is about but I'd hate to see any harm come to this duck. He's so cute! :)

ReplyDeleteEvery now and then, I get a wild idea for my blog and just run with it for no rhyme or reason.
Last night, I turned to Survivor Duck on my mantle and said, "Let's see if I can get comments for my poor over-looked blog by risking your life."
To which Survivor Duck, replied in falsetto, "Qwack?"
The rest is just fun. Well, not for Survivor Duck, but he survived thanks to you and my other friends! :-)

ReplyDeleteSurvivor Duck qwacks his thanks to you for your solidarity! He hasn't quite forgiven me though. :-)
GWTTW fans who have only seen the movie don't realize that in the book, Scarlet has children by her first two husbands ... and hated them. Yikes!
You're right: she is the villain, whose fractured psyche leaves hapless victims in her wake.
Rhett was the real hero, and I felt badly for him. But I always felt he finally found, if not love, some small measure of peace.
Thanks for following over from your blog to mine. I'm happy I intrigued you! :-)
