I write of this since when I tried to comment on C. Lee McKenzie's substack page today, I had to go through a dizzying gauntlet of questions ...
I was asked to give a short bio of myself ... 250 words or less ...
My first was rejected ... too long, so rather than let it go to waste, here it is ...

I'm glad your friend survived and can save the obituary for a later time. If I had to go through so much work for a substack, I'd pass. It's enough to have to do Google checks on some blogs. Just not worth the trouble.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Karen -- doing so much hoop jumping is NO fun! My friend spent 3 hours yesterday afternoon fishing -- and caught bass and back pain! :-) My cat, Midnight, would have liked to have gone along!
DeleteGlad your friend pulled through the surgery. Quite a challenge to write an obituary and probably none too fun. Again, glad it wasn't a necessity. I have had to write and give eulogies. Important, but never, something to look forward to (understatement).
