TIME TO VOTE

TIME TO VOTE!

SO FAR THE "YES" VOTES ARE AHEAD.

WHICH MEANS OUR PLATFORM BUILDERS FRIENDS WILL HAVE MORE TIME TO ENTER

MY FANTABULOUS CONTEST in which by writing a review of one of my books on AMAZON you could win :

NEEDFUL THINGS autographed by STEPHEN KING

or

THE TAKING autographed by DEAN KOONTZ

or

DANSE MACABRE autographed by LAURELL K. HAMILTON!

There will be THREE WINNERS.

You could be one of them.

Should I delay the drawing to allow the Platform Builders a fair chance?

YES or NO?

Making a black and white silent movie now takes courage. I will go see it, for it seems to have heart and creativity.

  2. Sure why not I vote yes as well.

I liked the trailer for the silent movie, at first it reminded me of The Thin Man series. I loved those.

  3. Sounds like a great idea! I vote YES too!

P.S. Interesting last post too. Don't get *me* started on the differences between Jeet Kune Do and Wing Chun! ;)

  4. Heather :
I am of the same mind as you : give our new friends a chance at winning those neat autographs!

    Pamela Jo :
It reminded me of those same Thin Man movies as well! It seems the YES votes have it.

    J.C. :
Victor figured you would have an opinion of the Wing Chun versus Jeet Kune Do since Wing Chun is part of your training! His aching body is just sorry he asked the spirit of Bruce Lee! LOL.

Another YES vote. YES seems to be carrying the days.

Victor is edging away from a jealous Alice as he just smiled, "Hey, it does seem that Pretty Girls did all the voting today!"

  5. Good luck to all the new voters. :)

  6. Laila :
Victor just chuckled, "Another Pretty Girl vote!" Alice is now chasing him around Meilori's.

I hope you feel better soon. You know you can write a one sentence review on Amazon (5 Star, of course! LOL.) saying, "This book didn't suck." And you would be in the running for those autographed books, too! Roland

  7. Hello, fellow campaigner! I'm not in your group (but I am a YA author), but I still wanted to check out your blog and say, "HI!"

Awesome trailers. Love the love of your blog! :)

  8. Hi Roland - glad to see you signed up for the REN3, really looking forward to what you come up with.

And yes, it couldn't hurt to leave voting up for a while for your reviews. I apologize, I haven't read your books yet (I've read your excerpts) but I suppose that doesn't really count.

  9. I don't mean to sound bitter or anything, but first it's the bookstores and now they get rid of the dialogue all together. The writer is unnecessary....LOL. I love the original black and whites and I have a story that just came out in a book called Fiction Noir. They're making a trailer for it that will probably look a little bit like this clip. Today was the first day of filming!

  10. That movie looks a awesome! I'm a classic movie freak. How totally cool!

  11. That movie looks amazing! What bravery it must have taken to push that forward in Hollywood.

    And btw, I vote "yes"
    :)

  12. David Powers King :
Who says we can't visit and chat, right? You have a lovely blog and a very neat idea on how to announce winners to your contest!

    Li :
Several of my books are rather short and inexpensive (99 cents). And a one sentence review could be interesting : "This book did not make me throw up." LOL.

    The Desert Rocks :
I love Noir fiction. My LET THE WIND BLOW THROUGH YOU is Native American Noir if you can believe it! I'm looking forward to that book trailer of yours, Roland

    Jo :
Doesn't that move look intriquing? I will have to buy the DVD of it though since Lake Charles does not like experimental movies. Sigh.

    Lydia :
Victor is smiling that another pretty girl voted yes! Alice is not amused. And just think what obstacles resisted the making of a black and white silent film in today's Hollywood! Roland
