Pride and Prejudice and GHOULS

Did you know that Alice Wentworth, ghoul love of Victor Standish,

is a working SAG/Aftra actor in LA with her own recording studio?

And she did the news live on the air for Radio for the Blind in NY?

Well, the actress who portrays Alice's voice in END OF DAYS is all of that.
FRANCENE LOCKETT
has just finished a stunning performance.

You will be amazed at her skill in voicing Sam McCord, Father Renfield, Magda,
and the assorted Sidhe, Ningyo, Asgardian,
and revenant enemies
who threaten to usher in the End of Days in the Katrina-devastated French Quarter ...

Oh, and the voice of the gypsy soul-echo,
Victor Standish!

In 21 days and counting,
END OF DAYS IS COMING YOUR WAY!

  2. Confused...Did I understand you right, is Francene doing several of your characters voices, including male? I must be a fantastic feeling to hear your book read outload. Good luck, sound books have become very popular here (norwegian authors), how are they doing in the states?

  5. Donna:
Francene even put in sound effects! Wait til you hear the voices of the Turquoise Woman and the eerie Nameless Ones!

    Siv:
My audio books are too new for me to tell how they are doing. But I think Amazon wouldn't have bought Audible if it audiobooks weren't doing well.

And yes, Francene did a variety of male voices and accents, doing a fantastic job.

    Shelly:
Is there bail for Facebook jail? Thanks for tweeting about Alice!

    Alex:
Yes, Francene Lockett did Alice with her proper Victorian accent and everyone else in END OF DAYS in their own accents as well. She is an accomplished voice actress.

END OF DAYS is told in first person through the eyes of Alice Wentworth.

And it is, indeed, very cool! :-)

  7. Hi, Roland,

CONGRATS to you and ALICE.... I am just amazed and how far you've come over the past couple of years. When I stop by your blog, I am so thrilled for you successes.

    LOVE the trailer.... it's beautiful.

I can't help but feel a bit left behind, but your determination is certainly paying off for you.

    All the best, my friend!

  8. Having a voice for your books must be satisfying. Francene must be accomplished to do male and female voices and accents.

Who selects these voice artists? Audible, or do the artists select the books they want to do the voices for? Just curious, since you seem happy with the artists selected for your books. Is that always the case?

BTW - congrats! on scoring a great voice for a great tale (End of Days was one I finished early on)

  9. Words Crafter:
Yes, I have been lucky so far!!

    Michael:
Have you thought about self-publishing one or both of your books? Your illustrations would be a boon to them. Think about it.

    D.G.:
ACX has a clearinghouse of voice actors, and I chose the people to approach from listening to their samples. ACX has a way of narrowing down the prospects for you.

I do hope you enjoyed END OF DAYS!
