The Insecure Authors Support Group is putting together an anthology... a contest of sorts.
I never do well with these. Sigh.
There is a month to the deadline and if you want to participate, there is still time.
Ten stories will be chosen from those submitted and will go in the anthology.
The TOP story will get a badge and the priviledge of naming the book...
I have already submitted my alternate history story ...
Have you?
There is a whole month in which to write and polish your story.
Do you submit to anthologies? Have you given up on trying?
Life is an adventure if you choose to make it so.
Then, you will grow even more as a writer by trying.
Best of luck with all those who enter.
Cross your fingers for Hart Johnson who wrote a delightful post on this:

Let me know if you've decided to enter, too.
The odds are against us ... but that's how legends are made. :-)
Excellent post on the anthology, Roland! I'm thinking of joining in with the fun but I've kind of swamped myself with deadlines so I'm not sure if I can squeeze another story into the next month. However, I have a few ideas . . . so I'll know for sure during the last week.
ReplyDeleteI love your last line about the odds being against us and that's how legends are made - I think that makes a great quotable quote - the kind that gets stuck on walls, mugs, t-shirts, twitter posts, and such. :)
I hope you find time and inspiration to join in the fun. I took that last line from the motto of Victor Standish. Being as humble as he isn't, Victor loves the idea of putting on posters, mugs, and t-shirts! :-)
DeleteHi Roland - I hope they get loads of entries .. and good luck with yours ... I imagine it will hold sway. Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteThanks for the well wishes. I'm sure they're going to get a tidal wave of entries! Talk about long odds!
