ALEX WILL PLAY AT MEILORI'S
ON WEDNESDAY
THE 18TH!!
PEOPLE PASS ON YOUR POST
WHEN ...
1.) When they've seen it all before:
ALEX CAVANAUGH's CASSASTORM Book Tour is
just like a SPACE EPIC should!
In fact, Alex will play at Meilori's tomorrow and will wow you with his guitar work as he plays guitar to accompany Elu, the greatest Apache shaman.
But that is for WEDNESDAY'S post.
2.) Today I am trying to help you help Alex ...
Have you noticed that book tours posts are beginning to look all the same?
Alex's tour posts will draw because ... well, he is Alex.
Having everyone post about one book or the author all at the same time gets old
for readers fairly fast.
UNLESS ...
3.) YOU GIVE THE READER SOMETHING NEW
Put a new angle on something the reader expects.
The repetitiveness of the run-of-the-mill blog tour posts often defeats the point,
since a reader is more likely to pass over blogs that are re-sharing the
information or have the same theme as a million other blogs that week.
4.) ASK WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW AND FIND IT OUT AND SHARE.
Now, tune in WEDNESDAY for Alex's debut at Meilori's:
Death, Sex, and Violence ...
And those are just the lyrics!

You're right about launches and such; a bit of variety is needed.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting, Alex at Meilori's! I'll be here to see what Elu and Alex can do.
Is that photo for real?
D.G.:
ReplyDeleteI Googled for Alex in images and got that one from a post on his first book.
Variety is the life's blood of any kind of writing.
See you tomorrow. It will be a blast!
Ooooh is that what the Cap'n looks like!?!? Wow!!!
ReplyDeleteTake care
x
Oh my! Death and sex. Hope the sex comes first.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words, Roland. I didn't want to do what I did last year with the same information on hundreds of blogs. The unique question added something. It was a lot of work, but worth it.
You are so right Roland! I am still trying to figure out the details of my blog tour. I finally posted my review of your end of day's audio book. Sorry it took so long! Can't wait for tomorrows post :)
ReplyDeleteKitty:
ReplyDeleteAccording to Google it is. :-)
You take care as well and look out for Charlie and his purring partner!
Alex:
It will be fun at Meilori's. It always is. Quality is always hard work but worth it -- as you say. :-)
Siv:
Thanks so much for the Audible Review. It shows right up on my Kindle Fire HD but I had to hunt and peck on MOST RECENT REVIEW on their website. Go figure.
Tomorrow will be a hoot!
