Victor Standish.
The undead and worse spit his name as if it were a curse. Their cornered victims breathe the name as if it were a prayer.
Who exactly is Victor Standish?
Why do so many who prey in the shadows want him dead?
Readers who want to begin his adventures with his latest chronicle, THREE SPIRIT KNIGHT want to know these answers.
What prompted his mother to abandon him at the age of seven in Detroit ...
just as a zombie apocalypse swept over that city?
How did he survive it?
Or did a part of him die in that supernatural crucible?
Why do the loathsome Nameless Ones hate him so?
And how did he first meet the haunted Victorian ghoul, Alice Wentworth?

ReplyDeletelast [before last in october] contest you gave everyone an extra entry if they did a bunch of things and i remember doing all but maybe one... and there were like six glorious giveaways and six people entered... and yet i only won one thing, which means my effort was for naught... i demand a recount. :)

Thanks for the book, Roland. My zombie education will continue. Just ask Jeremy...it's been a long time coming...I'm just a squeamish girl, but when they were cleaning up the farm (season 2 of Walking Dead) and were throwing all the barn bodies into the back of a pick-up, and Andrea realized there was an arm they'd left behind and she just casually picked it up like some extra piece of firewood and threw it in the back then SAT DOWN next to all those dead walkers...something clicked and I was OK.
ReplyDeleteI've got guests coming up in my next posts, but I'll ask them if they mind me mentioning the give-away. That poster would make THE perfect gift for a close friend of mine. Does that get me extra points? That I'm sooo generous I'm not even keeping it, but giving it to someone more deserving? I bet Jeremy would back me up...
