It seems the whole world is bent
on getting even for something,
doesn't it?
“The only people
who you should get even with
are those who have helped you.”

"The best revenge is to live well."
- Oscar Wilde
Where is the survival benefit
in feeling the need to get even?
Life isn't a game,
and simply getting even
doesn't mean
you've won the battle;
it just means
you've lost your self-respect.
"For every minute you are angry
you lose sixty seconds of happiness.”
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Brooding over an injustice
only makes the event,
which took minutes,
possess weeks
or years
of
our lives.
Let it go.
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN
THE URGE TO GET EVEN
POSSESSES YOU?
I think you are right either we should take action to rectify the situation when ot occurred. If we cant do anything about it then we should let it go! Your last quote os very right. To let go is difficult but important to move forward in life
ReplyDeleteWhen we let go, we open the door to the cell to which our anger has confined us. May your pregnancy go ever better. :-)

ReplyDeleteI try to live Gandhi's words to be the change I wish to see in the world, Bish. :-)
DeleteI like the Oscar Wilde quote :-) And as for getting even: I kill them off in my books ;-)
