The ROGUE ONE that wasn't

Thanks to

Remember last year's A FAMILIAR HOPE

Oh, I mean THE FORCE AWAKENS with the same plot points of EPISODE 4.

ROGUE ONE is a great film, perhaps the best STAR WARS movie of the last four

and on par with THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK.

It just isn't the one promised in the first three trailers and featurettes.

There are so many scenes and bits of dialogue in those trailers,

hinting at a different story, that are just not in the final movie.

It makes me wonder what kind of movie the original cut would have been.

Have you seen ROGUE ONE?  What did you think of it?

SPOILERS ALERT!
Here is a fun explanation and review
of the final version of ROGUE ONE

  1. I thought it was exactly the film fans deserved. And the first Star Wars for adults. They have been running the first six non-stop on television and oh my God are they all cheesy and awful. I still love Empire, but wow, Rogue One is a very close second.
    And thanks for the eCard!

    1. I am glad you liked my eCard. :-) Yes, we fans have grown up and deserved a grown up movie. Still the trailers hinted at a different storyline. But I enjoyed Rogue One immensely. Have a blessed Christmas!!

  3. I hope to catch Rogue One in the next few weeks, along with a bunch of other really good flicks that get released this time of year because of the awards season. I REALLY enjoyed Allied, btw.

    1. I plan to see ALLIED when it comes out on DVD. Too little time to see any more than a few movies at the cinema these days!

  4. Haven't seen it yet, but will soon. It's sort of refreshing to hear about a movie that isn't only a spread out version of the trailer.

    1. Don't you hate when a trailer tells the whole story of a movie and gives away all the great lines?
