Or rather -- how old is your blog?
How old is your blog?
How has the world and you
changed since your first post?
The memories for me refuse to stay locked away but climb out to urge me to stay fresh and young-at-heart.
Can you remember your first post?
Are you close to being the same
person you were then?
How many friends have
you lost
along the years?
In your blog's comments
they live again.
What a happy surprise, right?
If you're wondering --
Here is my first post:

What a lovely way to start the year. And yes, Damyanti has given us a lot of blogging help along the way. Good luck with 2023.

Thank you, Jemima. Damyanti is a special person ... as are you.
DeleteDamy has been a great friend all of these years.
ReplyDeleteNow I want to go back to old posts and see the comments.
It truly be refreshing ... and sometimes sad.
DeleteCongrats to Damyanti. She's been on such a journey and it's great to see her success. I'll hit 12 years blogging this year. It feels like the world has changed immeasurably. But I don't know if I'm different myself. Still feeling my way as I was back then.
ReplyDeleteFeeling your way is a good thing to do these days since the world has become something of a mine field!
DeleteI started my blog in 2008, so I guess I'm in my 15th year. Wow. Scary how fast the time passed. I was online for the first time in 1994 over at Novel.Doc with my friend Keith Pyeatt and many others. It was the beginning of a wonderful friendship. The internet was new, I was young, and the world was my lobster, I mean oyster. I've learned so much, my head actually aches. These days I'm trying not to forget what I've learned. Happy 4th New Day, Roland. Thank you for the New Year's e-card. It was beautiful and it made me cry.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I've lost track of how many friends I've lost. Too many.
DeleteYou almost lost me last November to that massive heart attack!
DeleteHappy New Year! I started my blog back in 2009, and it's changed a bit since then. I've changed a bit since then, and I hope for the better.
ReplyDeleteAnd Happy New Year to you! :-) To grow better not bitter is my goal -- sounds like yours as well.
DeleteI've been around for a while and only go back to re-read my posts if I need to make room--delete them--for more. hehehe
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm that lazy. ;-P
Anna from elements of emaginette
And may you be around for a lot longer, Anna!
DeleteI just looked. This year will be my 14th. I really didn't know it'd been that long. Wow, yes, a lot has changed since that first post.
ReplyDeleteYou've been too busy being creative to notice the time passing I think. :-)
DeleteMy blog turns 18 in April. I have seen SO many changes over the years.
ReplyDeleteYes, changes both good and bad. May 2023 hold more good than bad for both of us.
DeleteI miss my gone online friends, :-(
