I am Unpopular

Have you had the number of visitors drop off recently?

Of course that is the result of Christmas family functions, parties, and holiday shopping.

Work as a rare blood courier has become grueling from all the holiday wrecks.

I worked 16 hours straight yesterday ...

Sleeping 16 hours straight today on my precious day off to heal from that!

And I awoke to having 31 followers gone from my blog!  Ouch!!

That is the first time I have lost so many.  But I have just recently gotten a new follower:

THANK YOU, HONG LONG!

Visit his blog page:
http://vov10.blogspot.com/

It is inventive and artistic, advocating victory over violence.

I pray this Christmas week treats you so fine it is a gift unto itself!  :-)

MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!

  1. That's weird that a whole batch of them dropped off at once. Maybe Google updated something and inactive people were removed. Who knows? Have a great holiday.

    1. Yes, isn't it? I think you, D.G., and Alex are right: Google did some year-end cleaning. :-( I thought I was more popular than I was: I've gone out with some ladies like that! Ouch! Now, I'll lose more followers!

  2. Another blog I visited said 11 of her followers have dropped off, and I noticed a slight drop of 2 or 3 myself. It's the end of the year cleanup, I think. What comes can also go easily, so I don't worry too much about it.

    1. You're right: keep a calm center, accepting yourself and enjoying the treasures of life while you have them. :-)

  3. Several others have mentioned losing followers this past week. I think it's people making year end cleanings. Sorry you lost so many!

    1. As Sandra told me: their loss, Roland. Thanks for dropping by and commenting, making me feel not quite so alone.

Now, off to grocery shopping and getting back to THE NOT-SO-INNOCENTS where McCord is having to deal with the ramifications of saving Lincoln, but not Mrs. Lincoln, at Ford Theatre.

As his companion, Mark Twain, keeps telling him: no good deed goes unpunished! :-)

    1. I was afraid that my not being able to visit my friends due to the holiday increase in work had alienated some of my friends. Thanks for letting me know that I am not alone!

  5. I believe that the followers thing is a blogger glitch.
And suspect that other people are, like you, too busy to visit blogs.

  6. Hi Roland - as the others have said .. I've lost 8 - and after various visits realised it's blogger tidying itself up. So it's not a great wodge of them ... 31 is pretty bad though ... but at least it's not 100s ...

Cheers and we're still here ... hope the shop was successful for a decent Christmas time .. Hilary

    1. So my fears were groundless, Whew! 31 still is a lot to lose. Sigh.

      Sorry you lost 8. :-(

Yes, the shopping was hectic, and I, of course, forgot several things!

      I do Star Wars tomorrow!

  7. Hi Roland .. I came across this blog - that enlightens us even more ... and will keep us informed:

    http://blogging.nitecruzr.net/2015/12/blogger-followers-google-friend-connect.html

Why they have to do things at Easter or at Christmas I don't know - one year it all went pear shaped for me around the A-Z ... just about finished off my blogging career ...

Star Wars - not for me ... and 2 days for shopping still ... ?!

    Cheers Hilary

    1. Thanks for the link that explains what's going on, Hilary! Administrators seem to want to isolate blogging systems even more.
