Talk About Insecure Writer! IWSG post

The ghost of Mark Twain is deserting me for Samantha Redstreake Geary!

He took one look at beautiful Samantha in front of her writerly office at Biltmore Estate and said,

"Son, I do believe that lovely lady needs my fatherly wisdom and guidance."

"Samuel, that is not a fatherly gleam in your eyes!"  I protested.

But he was already gone.  Sigh.

You might as well join him since another post of my "Don't You Hate Blog Book Tours?" Book Tour is also at her blog.

Let me know if you see Mark Twain there, will you?  Also tell me what you thought of my new post.

*** The ghost of Mark Twain is depressed. Samantha is nowhere to be seen ... nor is my guest post.

I apologize to him and to all of you.  Sometimes life happens.  :-(

SAMANTHA is NOW there at her blog, along with ME!

The blood of the Turquoise Woman (Gaia) flows in Samuel McCord's veins.

He sometimes hears her Voice:

    1. Bummer. I am going to check it out. Mark Twain must be chortling at my expense again. Thanks for liking what we writers do! :-)

    1. Jen, Mark is a gad-about. Last I heard he was off to pester Jamine Alexander of BLINDSPOT to ask to see ALL her tatoos -- just out of scientific curiosity, don't you know?

Found your blog by way of the IWSG. I'd love to follow you, but don't see the gadget. Am I missing something/

    1. Thanks so much! My gadget is in the sidebar under the image of my print/audiobook FRENCH QUARTER NOCTURNE! I try for fun -- my ghost authors often visit!

  6. Hi Roland .. I reckon Monsieur Twain was entangled with said Samantha ... so no wonder your post wasn't up - they needed time to return to the 21st century ... well one did ... now I'm off to Sam's land .. cheers Hilary

  7. The Biltmore is practically in my backyard (okay, not literally, but it's really close!) :)

  9. That charming Twain did his level best to distract me, but I sent him on the Biltmore winery tour, and now he's on his third bottle of Riesling singing show tunes in their cellar:)

  11. Don't think I've ever mention to you that the cat in my current manuscript (the one I've been working on for two years and am currently editing) is called Gaia. She is as wise as I can make her in a novel of contemporary fiction.

  12. The Biltmore is so big I'm afraid I got lost trying to find Mr. Twain...

    1. Thanks, Melissa. I wanted my Not-Book Tour to be fun for each installment. It was very nice of you to say that about me! :-)

  14. Ah, that Twain. Even in death he never does what's expected of him.

    Maybe next time you'll choose a better-behaved ghost. ;)

    1. Mark Twain chose me! He came with his autographed WHAT IS MAN? book! Why couldn't Marlene Dietrich haunt me from one of her autographed photographs? :-) Of course if you read (and believe) GHOST OF A CHANCE, she does!
