WHAT NEW BOOK ARE YOU WAITING FOR? #NeilGaiman

First -- don't forget my guest post on Kathleen Valentine's wonderful blog!
http://www.kathleenvalentineblog.com/

For me, it is Neil Gaiman's new book, an enthralling collection of nonfiction essays on a myriad of topics—

from art and artists to dreams, myths, and memories—

observed in #1 New York Times bestselling author Neil Gaiman’s probing, amusing, and distinctive style.

It is coming out soon: May 31st!  Look for it.

And speaking of new books, Roland crassly writes --

Why not try my Kindle format of my own new book, THE NOT-SO-INNOCENTS ABROAD:

WHAT NEW BOOK ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

  1. Those two books sound about right - yours and Neil Gaiman's. I appreciate his ideas on life and writing. I will watch for it. I'm thinking about giving myself your book for my birthday next month. . .I usually like what you have to say as well and I love some of your characters. You know - McCord, Sammy, Tesla, etc. . .

    1. I really enjoyed the book, D.G., though I'm not a great fan of fantasy/sci fi. But Roland's writing is mesmerizing. I think you'll like it.

  3. I'm waiting on one indie author to finish up the latest book in her series. I think it's book 14. Maybe 15. There isn't a release date for it. I suppose she has to finish it first...

    1. #15 in a series? Wow. I have 9 Sam McCord novels and 6 Victor Standish novels -- they are both interconnected so I guess I have 15 in a series, too. :-)

  4. LOL. I'm in the middle of so many series, I can't even answer that question. Maybe I should be more organized about my reading, but with 50+ titles loaded on my kindle and another 10 books sitting here waiting, it's hard to find the motivation. ;)

    1. I just read the latest Mercy Thompson series and am in the middle of the latest Spenser For Hire novel. The next FILES OF HARRY DRESDEN novel is not due out for awhile. Oh! The latest Longmire short novel is due soon! Great.

  5. Hi, dear friend. I've really been neglecting you (I just left a comment for D.G. that I think he'll enjoy your book). I've been remiss because I've been without an aide for my daughter over the past three weeks. Last week was dreadful, but Monday a new one arrived and she's wonderful. Hope she'll last, especially through the surgery Jen has to have on June 13.

Meanwhile...I'm heading over to Kathleen Valentine...

    xxxooo your forever friend, Ann

    1. How terrible to be without an aide for Jen for THREE weeks. You must have been beside yourself. I will pray for Jen's surgery this June13.

D.G. is a she by the way. :-)

Thanks again for the very lovely review for my book! Always your friend, too, Roland

  6. Great post, Roland. I'm waiting for a new indie author to get her edits/rewrites back and finally get the three year project out into the world. It's taken far too long. Hopefully, the author will stop dilly dallying and get the second novel finished quick sharp! :) Have a great week.

  8. Hi Roland - I see Neil Gaiman's promoted around - I really must read one of his books - I'm pretty hopeless at reading ... and read yours which I have here or on Kindle ... I will get there.

Take care and all the very best - cheers Hilary

  10. Hilary:
I enjoyed his THE GRAVEYARD BOOK, a spin on the Jungle Book where a baby is raised by ghosts in a cemetery after his parents are murdered. Strange set-up but a lovely book in its way. :-)

I will be on the look-out for it! My own short story related to THE NOT SO INNOCENTS ABROAD will be in another anthology June 30th -- and I, too, will crassly advertise it here! :-)
