WHAT'S GOOD ABOUT FRIDAY the 13th?

Happy Friday the 13th from my kitten Midnight!

What's good about Friday the 13th?

BOOK A BARGAIN FLIGHT:

Flight prices are based upon demand which slacks on Friday the 13th.

Flying can be scary enough for some without doing it on that day!

BUYING OR RENTING PROPERTY:

Houses whose address end in 13 or are 13 alone sell for less that comparable homes.

Same goes for apartments whose number is 13.  Good news for brave buyers, right?

CHICK WITH A QUILL

What's good about Friday the 13th at Vesper's blog?

Me!

Yes, it is another stop on my "Don't You Hate Book Tours?" Book Tour.

More nifty information to help you in your publishing dreams ...

plus more crass pleading on my part for you to buy my Kindle format of THE NOT-SO-INNOCENTS ABROAD!

C'mon, do a good deed on Friday the 13th!

    1. The only times I spent in New Orleans were when my mother was dying and days after Katrina -- great timing, right?

I am a rare blood courier headquartered in Lake Charles, close to the Texas border and the Gulf Coast. Zika is knocking at my door!

Good to meet you, Charles. :-)

  3. I didn't realize that today would be Friday 13th until a couple of days ago.

  4. Black cats aren't having it so easy either. I didn't even know it was the 13th today. One of the blessings of retirement, no alarm clocks, no dates to be aware of, unless it contains one of those inevitable doctors' appointments. Stay well, my friend, I'm mad at congress for not approving strong funding early on to fight the Zika virus. No mosquitos up here, too windy for them, but where you live, wow, it could get very serious.

    1. Midnight, my kitten, is smoky black, but he is safe within the inner sanctum of my apartment!

Zika could be bad for the blood center for which I work, too, if this part of the state becomes unable to donate blood to us!

During the Black Plague, cats were thought to be familiars of witches who were spreading the disease. Sadly, the plague was spread by fleas, and all the cats who were killed would have killed those rats. :-(

  5. I am very aware of Friday the 13th, taught to me by my father, yet can't attest to many a bad thing occurring...

  6. Shadow: It is not the day but the people who inhabit the day that brings ill tidings, right? :-)

  7. It's still friday the 13th on the left coast. This Antelope Valley Northern L.A. County portion land, cities, is sectioned off by streets from the center point of the Valley known as Division Street. Every road is built 1/10th of a mile apart for residentials, et al. Main Streets running North and South, begin at 1st street, 2nd, so on, 1/10th a mile, until one comes to 10th Street, 20th street, East or West. Each One Mile apart. This continues beyond 300th Street east and west. Every East-West Avenue's are Alpha designated. THERE ARE NO 13TH STREETS AT ALL.

    1. Midnight is a proud male but he thanks you for thinking him beautiful! He thinks he is beautiful, too! :-)

The ghosts of Mark Twain and Hemingway cater to him as they both were cat lovers.

You turned 13 on Friday the 13th? What did the other kids think of that?

  9. Bad ju-ju? Friday the 13th has always been lucky for me. (And for those it isn't--this is the only Friday the 13th this year.)

    1. Only one? That is good news for the superstitious! Each day brings what it will. It is our attitude towards those things that makes all the difference in the world, right? :-)
