Déjà vu may be the death of me.
15 years ago, my car and my body were in much better shape.
Hurricane Rita really did a
number on us in
Lake Charles back then.
I do not know when I will be back
-- if ever --
here on my blog.
The above 2 audio books were
born from my Katrina and Rita
experiences.
The details of the destruction and pathos
are accurate
if the paranormal details are mostly not.
Their narrators did
a masterful job.
Say a prayer and wish me luck.
HERE IT COMES!
12:45 P.M.
Take care Roland ... all the best - life seems troubling for you and for many. Thinking of you - lots of prayers too ... as well as luck. All the very best - Hilary
ReplyDeleteThank you, Hilary. It does not look good for me. If I were to leave now, the interstates would be clogged. My times are in the Father's Hand.
DeleteStay safe, Roland. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. BTW, I'm enjoying listening to your audio book. Definitely keeping me guessing. :) Take care!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mason. :-) The novel is told in 3 sections. The mystery to each part is solved by the end of the section.
DeleteAudible left out 26 frigging minutes at the end of the 3rd Section -- since they dropped the ball they are working fast to correct the snag. When it is corrected, all you will have to do is delete the original download and reload the new.
My narrator and I did our part. Audible dropped the baton with theirs!
Right now, I have just trying to survive the next few days to occupy me!! :-)
I just hope you don't have to go out in it. It's a 4 now.
ReplyDeleteWith that kind of wind there is NO going out in it! THAT KIND of wind blows vehicles off the road, tumbling like metal tumble weeds ... but no Sons of the Pioneers would sing over me! :-)
DeleteDo you still live on Lake Street? Lord you will be in our unceasing prayers; from now until you're delivered and safe!
ReplyDeleteI saw on KPLC via The Weather Channel, the LCS Hospital and Mall will be under 10 feet of water. If I'm not mistaken, don't you live but 1/2 a mile from the Mall?
Please keep us posted as long as you can, but I realize you will need to conserve electricity to keep your laptop charged, in case of a need for an emergency call/response.
Godspeed be with you dear Brother! <3
The power will probably be out for a month here. I am a bit scared though I know my times are in the Father's Hand. I live on the second floor of the Chateau Lafitte Apartments. The storm surge should just miss me, but my poor car may not survive ... nor my cat, Midnight, who does not do well with being scared ... he is the living example of Scaredy Cat! Say a prayer that Laura veers west of Lake Charles. I am going to try to sleep a bit though it is but 8:30 ... when Laura slams into the Apartments at 11 P.M., I will get little sleep. Being hit by a Cat 4 Hurricane in the middle of the night with the power gone will be unsettling for sure! :-)
DeleteRoland I’ve been watching your Facebook page in the hopes you’ll check in. We’re all praying hard and worried for you.
ReplyDeleteWow, I hope you are doing okay, Roland! I can't imagine what you are experiencing, but I know it's very difficult in Lake Charles. Fingers crossed that you'll be okay!
ReplyDeleteStill worried...
ReplyDeleteHurricanes can be really nasty. I haven't been through one; here in California we get the wild fires and the earthquakes (we are getting wild fires now!). I'm definitely praying that you and your family will get through this storm and its aftermath soon and safely.
