There's something about westerns I miss. Some have still crept out over the last few years, but it was the horror ones that stuck out to me (like Bone Tomahawk).
ReplyDeleteI think we miss the men of integrity and strength versus adversity amidst the backdrop of nature. Those who watched PREY were stunned by the vistas of beauty contrasted with an alien predator hunting Native Americans.

ReplyDeleteWe think of the Old West as simpler times : not simpler perhaps but more authentic. The music to the Italian Westerns always touch me still. :-)
