GHOST OF JEAN LAFITTE HERE! BUCCANEER BLOGFEST AHOY!

Ghost of Jean Lafitte here.  Ah, Roland, mon ami, you are a too busy man.

Roland is out on one of his many rare blood runs, my friends.

He jokes he waits for a beautiful vampire to court him for the blood he carries.

Cri de coeur, if he but knew!

I and Captain Samuel McCord, the owner of the haunted jazz club, Meilori's,

have killed so many revenants wishing to do just that.

Revenants you ask.  They are the truth behind Hollywood's lie of vampires.

Roland would protest at our efforts on his behalf.  C'est bien.  He is a friend to all ghosts and other citizens of the night.

You think he writes urban fantasy?  Au contraire.  He writes truth which all of you are much better off believing fiction.

Sans faire rien or it does not matter as you non-buccaneers would say ... as long as you do not stray into the French Quarter after midnight.  N'est-ce pas?

Read Roland's THE LEGEND OF VICTOR STANDISH:
http://www.amazon.com/THE-LEGEND-VICTOR-STANDISH-ebook/dp/B005NCUTAG

or his FRENCH QUARTER NOCTURNE:

before you dare the streets of the French Quarter after midnight, mon ami.

unless you do not mind becoming the Soupe du jour.

Let it Burn Megan

To a VAMPIRE, you would make the perfect soup. Beware the French Quarter after midnight! :-)

  2. It is just really wrong that I first read that to say Queen Latiffa. In my defense, I haven't had my coffee yet. ;)

  3. Heather:
It came as a shock to Queen Latiffa, too, who sputtered, "Last I checked, girl, I was still alive!" LOL.

  5. French Quarters? I think I'd beware even before midnight!
Nice to meet you and I'm sure you'll be seeing me lots during the month!

  6. @InkInTheBook....that too!
I have only spent a small amount of time in New Orleans, but I quite enjoyed my time in Louisiana. Seems like a good setting for spooky stories.

  7. Oooh, the French Quarter after midnight sounds exciting. I'd have to have Alice with me, though:)

  8. Looks like you've been busy writing books ;) Love it.
And I would be better as a roast I think rather than a soup. :)

  9. So glad you're here! You have such a great blog and already have a lot of followers! But hopefully you'll get a few more. I love this, "He writes truth which all of you are much better off believing fiction."

  10. I think I've changed my mind about visiting New Orleans, and I'll probably convince hubby to take me to Cali wine country instead. :) Can't wait to interview you!

  11. Damn, you are creative. L'artiste! And un peu noir, non? J'ai peur but I'll follow you anyway :)

  12. Ink in the Book:
If Captain McCord were with you in the Quarter, you would be safe ... except from his enemies. :-) Looking forward to seeing more of you as well. Being a rare blood courier takes so much of my time lately. Whew!

    S.B:
New Orleans was made for haunted tales it seems! Good to meet you, Roland

    Sharon:
Great blogfest you have here! Blogger was being feisty with my followers spot all day. Sigh. It hates me! Glad you like my truth told as fiction. :-)

    Gwen:
Alice would be glad to guide you on a tour of haunted New Orleans. But be sure she's "eaten" before the tour begins!!

    Jade:
I want to be off the supernatural menu entirely!! Yes, I have been busy as a writer. Now, if I can just persuade some folks to read them!!

    Marisa:
Looking forward to the interview. My email is in my profile. Just send me the questions, and I will try to do them justice! And New Orleans is lovely, but California's much less humid! The ghosts will miss you.

    Shell Flower:
Thanks for the compliment. And don't be afraid, for Capt. Lafitte would escort you. Now, who will protect you from him? Plus ca change! :-)

  13. Your biography is very creative! I loved it! Glad you are participating in our little blogfest! Looking forward to getting to know you better over the next few weeks!

French Quarter after midnight? I've done that on occasion and survived to tell people about it.... :)

  14. Thanks, Courtney:
My life as a rare blood courier affords me so little time, I shall be to be creative indeed to do this blogfest justice! If ever you see the haunted jazz club, Meilori's, on your tours of the French Quarter, drop in, and tell them Roland sent you. But ask for Lafitte or McCord as escort! :-)
