THRU A MIRROR DARKLY

Once we saw the world as a child ...
the best of us still do.

Enter the Halloween costume labeled
 'The Upside Down Honey.'

That the makers of said costume thought it would be popular
should come as no surprise in an entertainment world

which not only tolerated but aided the sexual predator, Harvey Weinstein

as long as he made Hollywood money.

We no longer believe in a personification of evil which is why we blithely made a hero of him on TV

After all only the uneducated and old-fashioned believe in evil anymore, right?

Evil is in the eye of the beholder.

What you call evil, I might call emotional free thinking.

God is not dead, for He never existed.

To be adult is to put away childish things,
to shrug off superstitious nonsense,

to embrace the thrill that comes from
living life fully
unfettered by the dusty restraints of last century.

Have you noticed that the longer you sit in a dark restaurant, the better you can see?

The room has not become brighter ...

Your eyes have just become accustomed to the dark.

 I still prefer CASABLANCA
 to 50 SHADES OF GREY.

I believe I have become a dinosaur

Do you think our culture's eyes have become
accustomed to the dark?

  1. So well expressed. I see the same thing. When what used to be prohibited words are on prime time shows, one knows morals are plummeting.

God is alive, especially in my heart and home.

    1. We are in a strange time of folks lying to themselves, aren't we? The Father is eternal whether or not some acknowledge Him or not. :-)

  2. Well said.
For evil to triumph, good men must do nothing. And that is exactly what we are doing. Nothing to stop the onslaught of perversion and evil.

    1. So many "educated" adults are much like unruly teens who insist that they want nothing to do with rules and the God who gave them to us. Look at what a mess we have made of our world by insisting upon our own way. Sigh.

  3. OF COURSE any sane person would prefer Casablanca to Fifty Shades, because it has a great plot, sparkling dialogue, and character development! It's also a story about someone following his impulse to do good. And the fact that the flick as popular as ever is perhaps reason to have hope in people....
