Midnight is finally back!
He wants his old apartment back/
Me, too!
He's reading my latest
and wants the heater
turned up.
The receptionist asked for
$685!
She saw my eyes and
checked again.
Only $85!
I almost had a heart attack.
He's off now squirreled
in some nook of this apartment
taking a well-deserved nap
after 4 months of
vet prison.
The ghost of Mark Twain
is Happy.
Midnight is back on the
mantel where he belongs!
Glad he's back and only eighty-five - what a blessing!
ReplyDeleteThe Father always sees me through. :-)
DeleteI'm actually here for January's IWSG, but the whimsy here and lovely cat pictures brightened this 11th day of January. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteGee, I thought the 6th was the date for IWSG - which was move-in day for me. I'm glad you liked Midnight's pictures (Of course she did, said my cat!) and the whimsy of my post. Don't be a stranger, Beth.
DeleteThat's wonderful! I'm sure he missed you.
ReplyDeleteThey are still constructing this place, and the huge machinery is not making his day! But he purrs in my lap and sleeps a few winks in feline peace. :-)
DeleteHi Roland - so pleased he's back ... it'll be so wonderful to come home to Midnight ... all the very best - Hilary
ReplyDeleteMidnight is pleased, too! :-) Yes, Hilary, it will be glad to come home to a friendly rub against my leg.
DeleteGlad you are reunited and have found a home.
ReplyDeleteYes, Mary, it feels nice not to have to get up with the 4 in the morning blood drives! Now, to find a way to pay this atrociously high rent month after month!
DeleteI'm so glad he's back for both of you!
ReplyDeleteMidnight is puzzled by his new apartment, but he's decided he will let me live in it with him, Holli. :-)
DeleteIt's thrilling to hear Your beloved Midnight has been reunited with you. During this pandemic our Animal Friends and Pets are essential to us. To be without each other must of been extremely trying and stressful, which was the last thing either one of you needed. It makes my day to know you and Midnight have been reunited with each other.
ReplyDeleteI feel the better after a bad day at work with Midnight purring on my lap. These past five months have been grueling for me, that is for sure!
DeleteAhhh the mantra purr of total bliss! Bless you both. I cannot fathom the pain you have been through this year. May heaping of blessings shower you brother.
DeleteSo many are even now going through worse. But it has been an experience! Thanks for caring. :-)
