Multiple reports are saying the new Kindle Fire 2 release date could come as soon as this month.

the latest information is based on a new FCC filing by Harpers LLC that was uncovered just this week. Amazon traditionally uses the Harpers LLC name as a "front" company name for various FCC filings to prevent leaked rumors or news about new devices.

If Amazon launches the new Kindle Fire this month,

it would be a month earlier than they launched the original tablet last year.

The expected upgrades in the newest Kindle Fire 2 include a new processor, new display touchscreen technology and overall build for the device.

There are also rumors that it will include a completely new mobile operating system. That system will not offer Google products or services.

It is safe to say that Amazon will launch the Kindle Fire 2 tablet/s before the month of November to take advantage of the expected demand growth.

The original Kindle Fire with 7-inch display sports the tag price of $199,

so if the next Kindle Fire will still use the same form factor, then it might use the same pricing.

KINDLE FIRE 2 SURPRISES!

1.) PRICE DROP

Of the first Kindle Fire to $169 when the Kindle Fire 2 (or Inferno as it may be called) is released.

2.) REAR FACING CAMERA

The Kindle Fire 2 News blog has posted a photo that supposedly shows off the Kindle Fire 2’s back, highlighting the new component.

3.) CHANGE IN SCREEN RESOLUTION

AllThingsD claims that the Kindle Fire’s redesign will also involve a change in screen resolution to 1280 x 800.

This will raise the display’s resolution to match the current host of 7-inch tablets with high-resolution screens like the Nexus 7, Toshiba Thrive and Acer Iconia.

4.)HEAVY METAL

Kindle Fire 2 is also expected to enjoy a metallic chassis that should make for a better-feeling device than the plastic body of the current model.

Despite this, Amazon should be able to make its upcoming tablet thinner and lighter than the original Kindle Fire.

5.) BROTHERS & SISTERS!

Earlier reports from Asian news outlets indicate that there may be up to four different models of the Kindle Fire 2. One will have the base-level 1024 x 600 display of the original, while another will have the new 1280 x 800 resolution plus a camera.

The manufacturing of both these variants will start this month, according to rumors. These models would be followed by a variant with a 1280 x 800 screen, camera and 4G connectivity, which is supposed to be manufacured next month.

The final version would be an 8.9-inch tablet with a 1920 x 1200 display that would be sent to manufacturing in the fourth quarter of the year.

Both Gizmodo and Good E-Reader have especially convincing posts yesterday

about the very real possibility that Amazon’s long-awaited iPad alternative will be available to consumers very soon–perhaps as early as this coming week.

Amazon has a track record of drastically reducing the price on expensive stock to clear the way for new product.

KINDLE FIRE 2 (CODENAME: HOLLYWOOD) RELEASE DATE!

Not rumors. Conjectures. The difference?

Conjectures are based upon hard data ... and rumors. :-)

The Amazon Kindle Fire was announced on September 28 last year.

One of the major features which is attributed to its success is its use of a modified version of the Android operating System and the price point of just $199.

In the process, the Kindle Fire created its own zone in the market, that of a smaller budget tablet.

After nearly a year of successful, unchallenged existence, the Kindle Fire is now threatened by another tablet

which is expected to soon make its appearance in Google I/O. The Google Nexus 7 tablet.

The Nexus 7 is also a 7 inch tablet

but it is better than the Kindle Fire in almost every other aspect. It’s got a better screen resolution, a better processor, a better and more advanced OS

(Android Jelly Bean).

It even comes with a camera, which was missed by many in the Kindle Fire.

The final killing blow is the Nexus 7’s expected price. It is said to the same as the Kindle Fire, at $199.

Amazon’s only option to defend itself now is to bring out a new and better Kindle Fire.

And according to a CNET source,

Amazon will launch the next generation Kindle Fire on July 31, though the site cannot yet confirm the launch date.

According to another similar report on Digitimes,

Amazon plans to bring out a new Kindle Fire with a better screen resolution of 1,280 by 800-pixel

in the beginning of the third quarter

and at the same time reducing the price of its existing model to $149.

This business strategy is the same that Apple applies to the sale of its iPad.

Rumors of course. But interesting ones that come from the same sources Reuters uses.

1.) In time for Christmas buying.

(Me, I don't think about Christmas until AFTER I survived Hurricane Season!)

2.) A larger 8.9 inch screen: (The version Amazon wanted to put out last year but was unable to.)

3.) The Kindle 2 will be made of Fae dreams and powered by unfounded hopes.

(Just checking if you were paying attention!)

4.) The Kindle Fire 2 processor is a quad-core Tegra.

The codenamed 'Hollywood' Kindle Fire 2 and will be based on the Nvidia Tegra 3 which will bring a screaming quad-core processor with a 500% performance increase.

5.) The Kindle Fire 2 (Hollywood) will be more expensive.

There's no way you're getting it for $200.

Amazon may be losing money on every Kindle Fire,

but there's losing money and then there's losing enormous amounts of money. Tegra will help with speed and hurt the wallet.

6.) The Kindle Fire 2 operating system is Android.

Expect integration with the Amazon app store and services

rather than Android market and Google books.

7.) Kindle ICE?

It is rumored that in October 2011, someone began buying unusual domain names most of which had kindle ice included in them.

Amazon now has ownership of all of them. Would they have gone to the trouble of buying up those domains if they were not planning on using the name ICE? Rumors. Got to love them.
