So you can read my books

We all have them.  Deep inside we know others do, too.
But we deny.
Those two nice young men who greet you every morning.
Such nice boys.
Then, they set bombs off at the Boston Marathon.
We look up into the brooding storm clouds
and see fiery lightning baring its teeth at us from the dark heavens.
Just atmospheric conditions.  Nothing to worry about.
It's not like an actual Odin is upset with us.
Or are we wrong?

Some secrets are like dreams, just waiting in darkness hoping to get into the light.
“Secrets of the Ash Tree” is the story about Liv, a young woman who discovers her true nature through the unraveling of hidden secrets.
Her adventures begin when she digs up a chest that was buried by her father under the old ash tree in her garden. What she finds inside the chest changes her life forever.
Liv discovers one secret after another and is thrown into a world full of dangerous and strange creatures, mighty Norse warriors and perils beyond her belief.
What started out as a fairy tale in her father’s journal was to become her legacy, a guide line to survival, and a map to the world she was about to enter.
Each day, each mystery, each encounter will ultimately reveal her true destiny and behind the edge of a sword awaits a young god who is willing to share that destiny with her.
Read but a page of SECRETS OF THE ASH TREE and you will be swept up into the magic and myth of the wonderful world Siv Maria Ottem has created.

For only $6.08 listen to what a rare blood courier like myself does --

  1. Thank you Roland! Michael did such a wonderful job illustrating my cover for me. Love the video! I hadn't seen it before. Some great inspiration for my book video which I am scratching my head over. I hope to make one as great as yours!

Downloaded you audio book the other day and hope to get a review ready for it soon. Where do all the hours go?

  2. Hi, Siv:
Did you know that TODAY is the day that Tolkien's FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING was first published in 1954?

Auspicious timing for your cover reveal day!

Michael did a fantastic job on your cover. I thought this video was a great tie-in to your book, too.

Thanks so much for downloading my audio book. You have so many demands on your time - yet you took time to do this. Thanks!!

  3. That was excellent, and congrats, Siv! :)

  4. Are these all your covers? They're wonderful.

I think the scariest stories are about apparently "nice" people doing horrible things. Those kinds of books keep me looking over my shoulder.

  5. I'm ready to read! Congratulations, Siv.

  6. I'd buy THE SECRETS OF THE ASH TREE just for Michaels sublime cover, but Siv's book sounds incredible.

  7. Hi, Roland...

You sneaky devil... Posting my cover... LOL. Thanks for the AMAZING write up you did for Siv's FANTABULOUS novel! Terrific tie in with the video!!!!!!

I should have your review by the end of the week... SOO busy these days .. LOL but I squeeze in chapters here and there. LOL.

    Thanks again!!!!

  8. Good luck Siv, Secrets of the Ash Tree looks intriguing with Michaels cover!

I'm always interested in mythology and its offspring.

  9. I'm thrilled to see Siv's book, with Michael's wonderfully illustrated cover, making the rounds in the blogosphere.

Perhaps that thunderous roll from the cloudy castle-in-the-sky is an angry god? Hmmm...

  10. David:
I say her greatness is due to her being born on my birthday. Ouch! Alice Wentworth just kicked me.

I am proud to help reveal her cover!

Actually these covers are the work of the genius of Leonora Roy who graciously sparkles my books with her magic.

You're right: humans like the nice young men who set off the bombs in the Boston Marathon are the true monsters! And because the younger brother is good-looking, he is getting marriage proposals while in jail!!

I'm with you: waiting to read! :-)

Doesn't Siv's book sound intriguing and mysterious?

Internet Explorer is having issues with the Norse video. Some might need to view my blog with Mozilla Firefox to see it. Rats.

Thank you for reading my novel, THREE SPIRIT KNIGHT, and for writing a review. It means a lot -- and puts you into the running for some neat prizes, too!

Mythology was my first love as a child, too. Siv's book so far is amazing!

It is great, isn't it, to see Siv's book sparkling all along the blogsphere? Maybe that thunder is Odin urging to buy her book ... or else!

  11. Mary:
It was the least I could do for the special lady who shares my birthday!
