ARE YOU EXCITED?

Are you excited about this?

A FAMILIAR HOPE {The Force Awakens} hugely disappointed me:

Same plot points placed on a new movie with Katniss Everdeen for Luke Skywalker.

After 30 years this was the best they could come up with?  Really?

But this Star Wars movie looks to be its own creation ... and entertaining to boot.

What new movie are you looking forward to?

P.S.
Life as a rare blood courier has taken a turn into over-drive

so I have not been able to visit all of you as I would like to.

Sorry.

Sometimes life is a harsh mistress.

  1. So sorry, Roland. Whatever it is that's jumped in to challenge you I hope you meet and conquer it soon. I'm late too, but only because Blogger has been a huge fail this week and eaten my Blog List. Anyway, thinking of you. Take care.

    1. I hate that Blogger ate your blog list. Sigh. It is always something, isn't it? And my stomach has decided to melt down on me, too. Aaargh!

  3. I hope things will work out for you.

The Force Awakens, for me, actually wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. But it would be neat if Rogue One can stand on its own storyline without losing the Star Wars feel.

    1. I think Rogue One will ... if Disney doesn't edit the heart out of it. :-(

      Life is always something!

  4. Hi Roland - glad you were able to see it - even if it didn't satisfy ...

Hope that tum is feeling easier now ... and I guess you are busy right now ... take care - and all the best from over the pond - Hilary

    1. The tum is still on the fritz, but there are worse things, right? :-) And yes, blood runs are keeping me on the roads!

  5. I hope that life is evening out for you. I'm not much of a movie goer but I'm looking forward to the new season of LONGMIRE.

  6. Sorry work got busy. It'll slow down eventually, right? Enjoy the busy while you have it.

    1. It is always busy. Just have to keep reminding myself I am saving the world, one ill patient at a time. :-)

  7. I'm glad I wasn't the only one hugely disappointed by the Force Awakens. Such a yawn, one battle after another, with minimal story or character development. And the ending... so predictable. I'm really not looking forward to any new movies, they are all starting to sound the same.

Keep couriering that rare blood. Lives are probably being saved.

  8. Yes, I thought The Force Awakens was just a rehash - but not as bad as some of the other more recent Star Wars films.
Sorry to hear you're being overwhelmed by your work (although at least it sounds like a satisfyingly worthwhile job!)

  9. Nothing I'm exceptionally thrilled about, movie-wise, I'm afraid.

Hope things go well for you in the near future!
