HERE AT LAST!

Of the U.N.'s list of the 10 deadliest cities in the WORLD, New Orleans ranks #4.  If the horrifying truth were known, the city would be ranked Number One ... and the U.N. would leave the USA.

The Legend of Victor Standish -

think True Blood meets Super 8 meets The Walking Dead.

Beware French Quarter nights. Every city has its secrets.
New Orleans more than most.

New Orleans is the most haunted city in America where Voodoo was big business, slavery even more so, and no government official or newspaper dares to tell the truth.

Into this strange world arrives the street orphan, Victor Standish, from Charon's Greyhound. Charon has to keep up with the times...the End Times.

Victor has survived mean streets, but now he must cope with Zombie Love and the haunted French Quarter.

If Voodoo, vampires, and the Apocalypse fail to kill him, he must survive the deadly love of the Victorian ghoul, Alice Wentworth.

And why does the Angel of Death keep following him?

  1. How can they not like Victor Standish? Good luck with this audio book contest, Roland.

The ebook version made me like your main character, so I'm sure the audio version will also show others what an amusing and clever character he is. I know why the Angel of Death follows him and who she is. . .(thanks to reading your books)At least I think I do.

  7. Awesome contest Roland! You know how intriguing I found Victor;
I can only imagine what hearing "his" voice must be like. Great idea.

  8. D.G.:
That's the same question Victor asks! Alice reminds him of Major Strasser, Abigail Adams, Empress Theodora, and Maija!

Your suspicions are right: there are facets to Victor's mother that few suspect! Cue the spooky music -- as Victor would say. :-)

    Siv:
How are you enjoying END OF DAYS so far? How does she do Victor? Everyone has their own idea how Victor sounds. I think Lee will surprise you!

    Words Crafter:
Yes, New Orleans is the 4th deadliest city in the WORLD and we're talking war zones and dictatorships here!

Of course as you know, Victor is the Ulysses of the French Quarter, laughing and thinking his way out of all manner of perils! :-)

    Jeremy:
Yes, but the odds are 1 in 10. How cool are those odds?

Mr. Mustard? Didn't he meet his end in the drawing room by lead pipe? :-) Thanks for the kind words. I am really rolling the dice with this contest. Wish me luck.

    Wendy:
Like I just told Jeremy: I am rolling the dice big time with these contests and audiobooks. What did Faulkner say? You can't reach the horizons of your dream if you don't lose sight of the shore! Thanks for the well-wishes!

    Wendy Quillfeather:
Well, if my contests work and folks like Victor and Samuel -- then the congrats will be earned! :-)

    Tracy:
Hearing his voice is fun. What is scary is hearing Mesmer's and the eerie voice of Alice when she is hungry for human flesh. It creeped me out, and I wrote it! :-)
